I spent more than 15 years in HR leadership before I made a deliberate decision to focus on nonprofits and small businesses. These are the organizations doing meaningful work that often go without the HR support they deserve.
Not because it was the easier path, but because I saw a gap that needed closing. The organizations doing the most important work in our communities were consistently the least equipped when it came to their people operations. They deserved better.
